Shaw Floors Hardwood Homestead is the sister product of Rolling Hills, Homestead is wire-brushed whereas Rolling Hills is heavy-scraped. Homestead too has a list of four colors as of Rolling Hills and they have contemporary colors and textures. The solid hardwood flooring is based on classic oak that is best known for its durability and longevity.
Wheat Field is the lightest tone of all shades; it has a golden hue that has perfectly fused with the right amount of medium dark brown and patterns of grey. The patterns are mostly mineral streaks and knots. Formal style furniture, which is usually of darker shades, suits best with this tone of solid hardwood flooring.
Copper is richer and more intense as a shade, the patterns are bold and separate from each other and they are made in dark tones. To go with this shade your furniture must have a flamboyant character with beige, brown and earth tones as the colors for the palette.
Hearth is darker than the two previous shades and has patterns that are not only bold by nature but also dramatic.
The flooring supports more mineral streaks than any other patterns. This shade could be united with wooden furniture and earth tones for upholstery. Carbon, though the darkest brown in the list, has a lot of greys smeared all over the flooring. This shade suits best with pastel shades of blue and peach.
Shaw Floors Hardwood Homestead comes 4 inches wide and 3/4 inches of thick. This hardwood flooring also comes in random length planks. Has a low, oil-rubbed matte finish, which is enhanced by the trendy patterns of grey. Very beautiful hardwood flooring.
